Question Flywheel ?

Can you use a 258 flywheel on a 360 engine? Somone told me that you can, I find it hard to believe . I know you can get the 258 rebalanced and use it, am I right or wrong? Another question, how can you tell the difference between a 258 flywheel and a 360?

No, you cannot interchange them. The 360 is an externally balanced engine (through the flywheel), and it needs a 360 flywheel. The bolt pattern is the same, I believe, but it cannot be used. I am not sure if you can rebalance the 258 to be a 360, but I doubt it. As far as telling them apart, that I can't help you with either.

Anyone else? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
