Flaming River Timing Light

any experiences with Flaming River Single Wire Timing Light ?? i gonna use it mwith my 232 inline 6 and chevy 305 engine??

It has an internal battery for power so you don't have to connect to the vehicle battery.

Batteries always dead in the Xenon flash tube type,

If it's the LED version, you can't see it very well in the day time or in bright light.

You can buy three good Sears type timing lights for the cost of the flaming river versions.

I would really think about a simple timing light. Whats wrong with hooking up to the battery. Any more I believe simpler is better. I've owned many timing lights and my favorite is the basic craftsman that has removable cables. I really would stay away from the ones with the advance control, they aren't accurate enough.
