First Jeep, first post

Hello all,

Wanted to thank you all for the "Jeep info" I've learned here over the last three months. Very informative and generously given. Living here in Michigan, I new it would be tough to find a rust free CJ7 locally without paying big bucks. So, I started looking south and west via CL and eventually found what I wanted in N Carolina. Drove down there between Christmas and New year and drove it home the next day. Not one problem on the way back for which I was quite grateful.

Now it's coming apart in my garage with the help of a good friend. Interior/dash/steering column are out. Floors are sanded and looking sharp in a new coat of Chassis Saver rust preventative paint. Plan to put my cut up dash back to stock, tighten up the steering, fix a loose front output shaft and plug a bunch of leaks to start with

Looking forward to making some friends on the site.

John
