FI 151 vs Orig 151

My 80 CJ5 has a 151 Iron Duke in it and I am curious if I can pull it and drop in a late model 151 that has FI ?? I would think it would be a mechanically easy swap with the big issue being electrical and fuel delivery. I would go down the path of a donor vehicle for all the parts.
Has anyone completed a swap like this??

The '80 151 is a GM engine known as the Iron Duke. The bellhousing bolt pattern is the same as a small block Chevy. This engine was only used for a few years and was replaced by an AMC 150 (not 151) in mid-83 I believe. This engine is the one that has carried through to the TJ line and uses the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the AMC 6 cylinders and V8.

It's not just a matter of fuel delivery and electrical. There are a number of differences between the two, but the bellhousing bolt pattern is the biggest one.

Let me clarify. I am not wanting to replace the GM 151 with an AMC 2.5 but rather a late model GM 151 out of a Firebird, Astro van , S10 etc...
Sorry for the confusion.
