The '80 151 is a GM engine known as the Iron Duke. The bellhousing bolt pattern is the same as a small block Chevy. This engine was only used for a few years and was replaced by an AMC 150 (not 151) in mid-83 I believe. This engine is the one that has carried through to the TJ line and uses the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the AMC 6 cylinders and V8.
It's not just a matter of fuel delivery and electrical. There are a number of differences between the two, but the bellhousing bolt pattern is the biggest one.
