fan into shroud

Gentleman I need some help? I have a friend with an 84 cj 258... so he tells me he hit a bump hard the other day and ever since...1st gear under throttle heaves the engine up and forward to the point where the fan hits the shroud? We have checked tranny mounts and engine mount for loose or cracks. any suggestions where else to look? thanks in advance..Bob

I have a broken motor mount on the drivers side. You cant see it by looking at it most of the time, i`d try jacking it up carefully and see if it separates. I will be putting in the new mounts as soon I get this thing running. Previous owner of my Jeep destroyed a couple shrouds and radiators from this exact broken mount, no idea why he never fixed it.

Definately jack up the motor to find that broken mount.
