Exhaust - Seal between Heat Valve and exhaust pipe

Is there a seal between the heat valve and exhaust pipe, can't seem to find the seal I think I need to stop an exhaust leak at that spot. Or is there no seal and a trick to mating the surfaces better.

This is for a stock 304 V8

Thanks,

Wooly

From what I have seen... From the factory, no seal. When someone replaces stuff...they add a seal. I would assume you can get that seal from an auto parts store...
