exhaust

The one thing i miss with my cj is the sound. My dad's 03 dodge 1500 has flowmasters and i love the way it sounds. Has anyone put flow masters on their jeep? If so do they like it?

1977 cj7...... strait 6 .... 3"sus. lift and 1"BL ..... Sway bars ...... ramsey winch....1.25'' topline spacers....after market axles, wish i knew what they were though

I have a hedman header into a flowmaster delta 40. Sounds great to me. Its loud but not a whole lot more than the wind noise. I wouldnt go that route if you dont want to hear it but if you like to hear it all the time its a good combo. Good luck

I don't care what kind of mufflers or exhaust setup you have, no straight six is ever going to sound like a V8, especially if the V8 has a nice rumble to it.

My straight 6 with Clifford performance parts sounded exactly like a v8.

Flowmaster 40's do sound good.

yup, my 6 sounds like a v-8 all day long thanks to the flowmaster. It may not have v8 power but it sure sounds like it does...

I recently saw an exhaust called Flowsound. The word is Flowmaster lost the patten on the 40 and Flowsound picked it up. They have the 40 replicated to exact specs (i have heard). There are some sound clips on You tube for the Flowsound single chambered. Best thing is they are 1/3rd of the price of Flowmaster.

Performance Plus Exhaust sells them for around 30 bucks each with free shipping.

I am getting a pair for my 304.

I'm running a 3 inch, center in/center out Hooker AeroChamber and it's pretty bad*ss! You can actually feel it through the seat back at a 1500 rpm cruise.

I've got a set of 40s but I dumped them before the rear axle because we were in a hurry. Mistake. Its almost unbearably loud and I love hearin every miss and backfire right under my feet.
