engine swap

Does any body know if you can put a 2.8 v-6 out of 84 blazer into a 80 cj-7 with the 4 speed tranny? I know you might ask why I would want that engine in a jeep. I am very strapped on money and one in my garage. Would realy like to get jeep on the road just for daily driver. Any help would be appreciated.

Almost anything is possible - I'm pretty sure you will need to adapt that engine to your 4 speed though. This may not be cost effective since the adaptor is usually in the $500 range. A good place to check is:

Advance Adaptors

Another source is:

Novak Adaptors
