Engine Swap

Need some info....I want to put a late model GM engine in my jeep...not a computer engine but a fuel injected late model engine. I have a 78 CJ7 with the th400 tranny and quadra trac system and currently a very tired 304. What adapters would I need and where would I find them. This is a great site and have been visiting for some time and am now a member. thanks ahead for any info you can give

Check out Ron Francis Wireworks for "stand-alone" engine wiring harnesses that allow late model fuel injected engine installations into any vehicle.

When you say GM do you mean Chevy? If you want to convert to a Chevy, you need to put the Quadratrac output shaft into a Chevy TH400 transmission case. The TH400 behind your 304 has an AMC case. Unfortunately, the output shaft is the very last thing to come out of the case when you take the transmission apart, so you'll need to completely tear down the TH400 to swap to a Chevy transmission case.
