Engine Compartment Orange Wire?

Ihave a loose wire in my engine compartment. Orange with braided protection on it. has a plug on the end for a prong style connection with big rubber plug on it.

More information is needed to help.

Where is it in the compartment, like where does it terminate? (A pic of it would help). Do you know if there's power on it? Have you put a multimeter on the thing yet?

Looking at the wiring diagram it appears to be for the quadratrac light
.

Following it into the cab, it goes to the quadratrac light in the dash.

I agree blower motor, how about the one with the heat wrap around it were does it plug?

Sorry late to the party... Blower motor was brown stock.... i have a loose orange coming off my bulkhead with the same fitting that has 12VDC power. the schematics have it listed as an "under hood lamp".

I've been following this as I also have that strange orange wire, and the lamp seems the most logical explanation. The blower motor wire should be brown, correct. There is also a compressor wire thrown in there, if you have AC or not apparently.
