True AND if its a 1980 or older 258, it will have the more desirable 12 counterweight crank that is great for a little more torque OR later stroker builds. Not having the plastic Mr Leaky valve cover is a plus too.

Excessive use of silicone, brand new looking gaskets, a reman metal ID tag on the head or block, 30 or 40 stamped on the top of the pistons, etc are the quick visuals while careful measuring of the cylinder bores and crank/rods will tell for sure if its been honed out or re ground.
