emergency brake strut help

thanks for the help in advance.

i have my dana 44 ready to go in but the passenger emergency brake strut is missing i have my old one from my amc 20 but doesnt look like it wants to let the brakes compress enough to let the brake pads close for the drum. should they all be the same or is it a specific one i need to find for the dana 44. thanks again
