Edelbrock 1406 vacuum hookup help needed

I know I've seen it on here before but I could not find it. Somebody had posted a really good picture of an Edelbrock 1405 or 1406 on an Edelbrock performer intake, with all the vacuum lines labeled where they went. Could somebody run through them again for me as I am trying to get this new 360 started soon..

1.)There is one large one on the front in the middle:
I think this is the connection to the PCV at the rear of the intake

2.) there are 2 small ones on the front on either side of the large one above:
No idea

3.) One large one on the back in the center. Mine has no nipple installed:
no idea

4.) Large one on passenger side upper:
fuel connection

I think this is all I saw. Can any be plugged?

hfjeff,
This info is from my Edelbrock 1405 owner's manual. The 1406 is the same carb, just with the electric choke.

1) Correct. The large front center port near the base of the carb is the PCV port that uses a 3/8" hose.

2) The small ones at the front on both sides are the distributor vacuum advance ports. These require 3/16" hose. If you have a timed distributor vacuum advance (emission controlled engines) use the passenger side port. If you have a full vacuum advance (non-emissions), use the driver's side port. Unfortunately I can't suggest which kind you may have. I have a non-emission Chevy 350, so I've always used the driver's side port and it works fine.

3) The large port at the rear is the power brake port. This is most commonly used for power brake boosters. If you have manual brakes, simply plug it up with a 1/4" NPT pipe plug.

4) Correct. The small port on the upper passenger side is the fuel inlet. Use a 3/8" hose and be sure to use a new fuel filter as close to the carb as possible.

Hope I was of some help.

Mike
