Drag link hitting passenger leaf spring SUA

Need help figuring out best options on my newly purchased CJ. My guess is that the spring sag is so bad that the drag link is hitting the top of the passenger spring. The springs appear to be factory,(4 leaves in the pack) but I could be wrong.

I won't be wheeling much, but want to enjoy decent ride quality on the street. I'm thinking of just buying factory springs for the front, since the rear appears to be fine...

Does it have a dropped pitman arm on it?

Take a picture of the drag link and tie rod straight on from the front, level with them.

It currently has a standard, but worn out pitman arm. The drag link is about parallel to the ground... I'll get a better pic tomorrow.

Mine rubs on the leaf as well. One option is a flip of the tie rod/drag link. I'm not sure how changing the leaf pack will lower it? In order to not rub, the leaf needs to drop lower?

Check your U-bolts.

You could do a tie rod flip.

Here are updated pics from the other side to give more perspective. U-bolts seem tight, but I've not placed a wrench on them yet... if I flip the draglink don't I have to bore the hole to accept the taper correctly?

Thats your problem. A drop pitman arm with stock springs.

Yep, that's the problem right there.... put on a stock pitman and you will be fine.

Thanks guys. The PO said something about swapping the steering box... guess he left the pitman arm on it when he swapped it. I have a spare if I ever do a lift. New pitman should be here this week.
