Door question, does it fit?
Saw this on craigs list but its a little bit of drive to get em.. Should it work with my 83 CJ7 with a bestop? I am looking for winter gear that will replace the two piece doors that I have?

bumping this back to the top, I could really use some feed back, I think the price looks good on these.

For future reference, since craigslist ads expire all the time, copy and paste the text, download the pics and upload into your post. That way they never go away.

I have a set of original fiberglass hard doors for a 1978 Jeep CJ7. All hardware works good, door seals are like new and the glass is in good clean condition. I am asking $175 for the set.

Thanks for uploading the pictures, Still wondering if they would work with my Bestop. I am left the seller a message.

What if I worded the question this way does the bestop work well with factory doors with the roll-up windows? This should be the same fit. If someone has an opinion I would love to hear it before I drive 5 hours:help:

Don't know for sure with THOSE doors.

I have a Bestop Supertop that came with 2 piece soft doors, and also works with my factory steel doors. Whether or not those aftermarket fiberglass doors will fit is anybody's guess.

Those look like Acme doors for an Acme top.

Look at were the door latch is, compare it to the one on your two piece door.
Do you have the flapper type of door latch?

Looks like it uses this set of door latches:

Factory full doors look like they sit a little higher also

But I'm not a CJ 7 door expert by any means. Just pointing out some stuff to compare to yours.

They do use a pin latch and came with a set of pins for older cjs. They're pretty close to stock size, if not exact. I have a pair, but never got them mounted. If you need the pins, I have those too

Thanks- it never occurred to me that they were aftermarket- but they are mine now and did include the striker pins. Appear to be pretty good shape - I think I am about to be baptized into door alignment 101. Because these will not close all the way....yet.

Just a follow-up on this post. The ACME doors seem to work just fine with the Besttop. Gives me hard doors with glass sliders instead of the plastic windows. Slight gap where the door meets the "b" pillar area but I get the impression that the soft doors would not be perfectly weather tight either.

On another note found this company that looks like still offers the acme style latches and also has paddle latches that I wonder would work for anyones tube door projects.

The time now is 08:10 PM.
