AMC's Engines and Dodges engines are different. Just because they share the same displacement, doesnt mean they are related beyond burning gas.
by the way, in the in the early to mid 60's was the 318, 340, and 360. they all shred the same block. the 318 and 360 were an option on the trucks, while the 340 motor was in a lot of the cars. the 340's were known to rev up quickly, made them good for racing.
