Do your homework

Well, I am about to tell you a story that is somewhat embarassing yet at this point somewhat entertaining. I have been doing some restoration to the interior of my CJ-ie. new floor pans, rhino liner, carpet, seats, etc. When I started I was just going to replace the floor pans as I got into it I just couldn't see going back with all the old stuff. So I made the decision to replace everything. So during the process I sold the seats on craigslist. It was the first time I had ever used craigslist and I did not check what the going rate was on the seats I was selling. So I let my seats go for 100 dollars. Thats right 100 dollars. I know it was stupid I am learning that now. After I got my brand spanking new bestop trailmax pro seats in and they didn't have any mounting brackets with them that ironically cost 100 dollars a piece in quadratec! So just to let you guys know if there are any cj parts that you guys want to buy at literally a steal just look for any of my ads on craigslist.

So what exactly is the going rate for 25+ year old seats in your area? I haven't seen to many in the northeast I'd pay that much for.

Unless they were perfect $100 is more than a fair price around here for 2 used seats.

I sold all three, two front, one rear. About a week later I saw one rear seat on craigslist with three tears in it going for 150. Mine didn't have any tears in them.

It's all good it's only just a bit more of money you might have got.

Now only if I can find your craigslist stuff!

I sold my front seats (originai black highbacks), the passenger was excellent and the driver had a couple tears in the deans and I got $250 for them.

Nothing, I've sent stuff to Texas, California, South Carolina, and Florida. I did ask for shipping costs, the last 2 were freebys, I knew people who just happend to be going on vacation in the area.

Any word on the degree wheel? That would pi$$ me off. Your nice enough to help someone out, it should have been back in 2 weeks or less.

I do the same, if some of my junk can help someone I send it. A little shipping isn't going to hurt me to much.
