Do these slotted mags seem legit?

I'm looking at some slotted mags on craigslist. Did the CJs ever have 15x6 slotted mags? I thought they were all 15x7 or 15x8 the add states

"
These are original CJ slot mag wheels. They also fit fords.
15x6 and bolt patter 5x5.5! In good shape."

The price also seems too good to be true.

Thanks!

I am unsure but it never hurts to call and ask about a price. I paid 100 total for a set of weld sidewinders for my jeep and they are in perfect condition! The guy just had no use for them.

They look about right. but I'm not aware of any aluminum wheels that were 15x6 (could be wrong but I've just not seen them). It's also possible the seller listed a typo, or doesn't know how to use a tape measure.

That is what I was thinking. I emailed him/her to find out what the part number was.

Those are the same style rims that came on mine. I was told they were Renegade rims.

The standard CJ5 wheels for 1978 were solid white steel in 15 x 6, 5-bolt, 5.5" circle.

Optional wheels were A) 16 x 4.5, 5-bolt, 5.5 circle, and B) 15 x 8 white spoked steel, 5-bolt, 5.5 circle

Meanwhile, someone else has already purchased them instead of questioning if they are too good of a deal or not.

Ha! Yeah, CSP, so it goes. After thinking it over I've decided to look for some of the chrome wagon wheels. Thanks, Matt for the detailed info! Oh, here is the link in case someone else wants to make a move on them. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/pts/4082985531.html

It was going to be a hassle to drive all the way down from Indiana to get them anyway.

Also, in regards to the info Matt posted, I find it interesting that my CJ5 has more hip and shoulder room than a 7. That must be why the curvy girls love it!

Honestly, if it were me I would buy them and just resell them for wagon wheels. They seem to sell for twice a much around here

I don't even have to guess, they are Renegade rims and the seller most likely mis-read the tape measuring through the holes and eyeballing the numbers or mis-typed....smoking good deal too!
