Direction of engine rotation

This may seem like a silly question, but which direction does the engine turn during operation and cranking? Thanks. And no, I cant just go out and watch it, my jeep isnt running yet.

What about if you're driving in reverse.........also, shouldn't you take the Coriolis effect into consideration?
