Direction of engine rotation

This may seem like a silly question, but which direction does the engine turn during operation and cranking? Thanks. And no, I cant just go out and watch it, my jeep isnt running yet.

Clockwise as you face it from the front

84 CJ7 258, T5, D300, AMC 20, D30 EZ lockers F&R
33" TSL, 2.5"BDS lift, .5" shackle lift 1" body lift

No.. it's counter-clockwise if you're looking from the rear...

'80 CJ5 w/AMC360, T176, D44 w/Detroit 4.56, RE 4" YJ lift and 35s..

What about if you're driving in reverse.........also, shouldn't you take the Coriolis effect into consideration?
