diesel swap

I have a chance to pick up an MB om617 diesel motor out of an old mail Jeep. Has anyone else done this swap into '79 CJ5? What other parts had to be swapped/changed/fabbed? I have a Ford T-18 xmsn and Dana 300 xfer case to put behind it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Hi there,

i am restoring a CJ7 with a MB615 engine. It was installed in 1984 or so to save fuel i guess ... the installed T18 fits suprisingly to the original MB bellhousing.
My plan is to replace it one day with a AMC V8 ...

Have a look at the pictures and feel free to contact me.
