Defrost ductwork hose install

Just got my new ductwork for the defrost, and i can not get the POS to go on it's almost acting like it is to small to even fit not to mention it is a PITA to get to. Has or does anybody know of any tricks or tips for in stalling this thing. I have half the crap pulled out of my dash and would like to get it back together so i can drive this weekend.

They are a PITA to install. I usually dont even bother trying to snap the little plastic clip in place.. I just ziptie the thing on. I hate them. I've had one of those stupid ducts riding shotgun with me for the past month.. sitting on the passenger seat still in the bag.

I used sheet metal screws in the last one in installed. Then taped with duct tape to seal. Use the hex head screws and a magnetic nut driver in a drill. You don't have to use two hands to get them in.

I have my heater box out and duct off right now so it was pretty easy, BUT it was not easy to do. Somethng that made it a little easier, not very safe but easier, was I heated the duct up by my torpedo heater first and made it softer and more pliable. You could probably do it w/a heat gun or hair dryer but I used what was right there at the time.
