what's the original resolution of that picture. It would make a nice wallpaper if it is 1024x768

Great pics. I lived in Austin in 1980-85, and Texas has some of the most awesome lightning displays I've ever seen.
Any final decision on the color? Inquiring minds want to know .

We do get some cool lightning storms in Texas, especially from Austin and to the West.
I am still leaning towards green but both my daughter's hate the idea.

No, that's just good photography!!! I love taking pics like that and finding beautiful colors you didn't originally see in the view finder!!! My wife hates when we go places and I have my camera... Stopping to take 50 pics of the same thing is not her idea of fun.
To all my friends, I'm "that guy" with the camera... Looks like Dave is too!!! Glad to be in good company!!!

That is one ugly pole light on the other side of the lake that tests my patience with Photoshop
It's about 600 yards away and well within reach of my 270WSM, but they are nice neighbors

Great pictures. I too from time to time is the guy taking a 50 shots of the same thing. By far worse since digital. Now the can see if it was good or crap right away. Back in the day with film you may take a 3 or 4 shots. Heck I recall going on a whale watch off Cape Cod. Shot 12 rolls with 36 exposures. When developed only 14 pictures IMO where worth the status of "suitable for framing."

Oh, digital has made photography so fun!!! I had 700 photos of a helicopter trip over Maui... I don't think I ever used any of them for anything... I have sold a few of my Hawaii sunsets... but I think it was because people felt sorry for me, and they were at fund raisers put on by my wife... hehehehe. My wife is my biggest fan and promoter!!! She does, however, hate that I don't delete ANY pics!!!
