Data plate decoder (not vin)

OK I am trying to find out everything there is to know about my new to me 77 CJ7. I have numbers and codes on the firewall data plate that I have no idea where to find a decoder for. I already decoded the vin but the other numbers I can't find info on and I believe that is where I would find the paint numbers and trim option. Anyone know where to find a decoder for that?

Thanks so much on the paint info! I now know that my orange Jeep CJ7 originally was a Sunshine Yellow with a 6V code! Down the road she will be going back to that color.

Here are the trim codes for you too:

1977 Model Year: CJ5/CJ7

1CF Bucket seats, black, Wellington vinyl
1JF 2/3-1/3 bench, black, Wellington vinyl
3CG Bucket seats, Blue Levi, vinyl
6CG Bucket seats, Tan Levi, vinyl
7CF Bucket seats, Buff, Wellington vinyl
7JF 2/3-1/3 bench, Buff, Wellington vinyl
9CH Bucket seats, olive drab, Levant vinyl

You should also have a 9300 on your tag, which means it's a CJ-7

The other codes were used by the factory and don't really translate to anything else.

ok well I had buckets with tan Levi vinyl seats. Thanks so much for the help guys!!
I guess there is no way to tell if it was a renegade or Golden Eagle? I know it wasn't a Laredo cause there is no place for a clock or tach.

The only way would be to scrape on the hood and see if there are any remnants of the Renegade or Laredo decals...aside from that, no, there are no ways to tell, but at least you'll be able to put the Levi's sticker above the "Jeep" logo on the tub.

Glad your putting her back to the original color! Sunshine yellow is a very rare color. Are you planning on restoring it back to original? I have an all original 1976 CJ5 Renegade Levi's edition in 6v Sunshine Yellow. Sunshine yellow is definitely my favorite color!

I will have to check. I have everything on a computer at work. But I do think I have it.
The paint and trim codes are Above the VIN number on the plate under the hood, on the firewall.

Midnight Blue Metallic for mine. Awesome, I think I saw that under the layers of paint and rust somewhere.

Thanks, mine is the more common ( om ) dark brown, but it looks like the original paint, decals and pin stripes.

Where do I find this information? Looking for the trim packages for an 85 CJ7 with trim code = 1BA.
