Dash pad with T18 Trans?

Was just reading through some build threads and I really like the way that Davidnex did his dash with the speakers. I think I'm going to try to do the same with my build.

I have the T18 and the shifter gets pretty close to the dash when it's in reverse. This might be a stupid question because I don't know if the dash pads were factory, but would the shifter hit the dash pad? I guess I could just bend the shift lever if it was a really a problem but then I'd hate to run into problems with the linkage binding or something like that.

This is Davidnex's dash pad. Awesome idea with the speakers! It may have been done before but it's the first I've seen it.

Yes there were factory dash pads. That isn't one of them. A friend has the factory pad and his shifter (T18) does not hit it either in reverse or first gear.

You can always heat and re-bend the shifter if it hits the dash. It is also easy to cut if it is too long.

I know this is an old thread, but I have been searching for this dash pad everywhere. Where can a guy find/order one of these?
