dash componants

i tore my dash apart the other day off my 75cj5
im getting ready to rewire the whole jeep
i got to looking around i noticed all of the heat
and defrost cables are shot. in the 4wheeldrive hardware
catalog they only list these for 78 and newer anyone
know if these will work on mine if not where can i find them
the vintage catalog doesnt list them either
also how different is the wireing harnace between
the 75 and 76 the painless wireing harnace looks
to be alot better for the 76 than the 75 i thought about puting
in a new dash and thought about making it look like the 76
model is there anything that needs to be modified if i do this
it already has a windshield off a 76 i found that out the other
day
any help would be great
thanks

Basically you're SOL. Nobody makes replacement heater controls for pre-76 CJ's. Try Centech for a wiring harness. Their harness is much easier to install and better quality than painless. I've done both BTW.

heater cables

I have a 72 cd-5. I recently brought it up to date, and have those heater cables. I was going to originally sell them on e-bay, but if you are interested just let me know and we can work something out. just a little info about them.... they mounted under the dash with crome knobs with red writing. they say defrost, heater, ect... let me know... e-mail is greg@cdmeyer.com
