So, I'm in the process of piecing together one working clock from three. I'm actually on the tail end of putting it back together, but had a question regarding the gear that mounts to the end of the rod used to change the time.
What would be a good way to mount the gear on the rod without having to worry about the gear ever falling off again?
I wanted to get your input on this question.

Dab of JB weld on the end of the gear's shaft, perhaps?

Ha ha, you said shaft.....

I'm heading up to Home Depot for a couple other small parts. I will check out the JB Weld
