So, I'm in the process of piecing together one working clock from three. I'm actually on the tail end of putting it back together, but had a question regarding the gear that mounts to the end of the rod used to change the time.
What would be a good way to mount the gear on the rod without having to worry about the gear ever falling off again?
I wanted to get your input on this question.

Dab of JB weld on the end of the gear's shaft, perhaps?
