dana 300 leaking after seal skit

well my dana 300 was leaking where the shims are for the bearing on the front drive shaft part (in the back next to the fill plug). has anyone else had this problem or know of a way that i can fix it. i did new seals to fix this in particular and hat having oil leaking on the garage floor. any help is appreciated.

Yeah you can unscrew it and use laquer to coat the shims both sides .i heard thats what the factory did.use laquer from hardware store. What i did was coat both sides with a thin layer covering completely with permatex super 300. That might change your end play slightly.the laquer supposedly wont.

1984 jeep cj7, 258 I6, rebuilt T176,rebuilt Dana 300, amc 20 , dana 30, 4.10's Trac-lok in rear , 4.10's detroit soft locker in dana 30, 2.5 inch bds suspension lift, 1 inch polyurethan body mount lift. Line ex. weber carburetor. factory tach. factory clock ,oem replacement speedomter cluster, and oil pressure gauge, factory volt gauge.
