Dana 30 disc brake conversion with quadtratrac/open to suggestions

I am a newbie and have limited mechanical knowledge. I am very slowly restoring a 76 CJ7 with a 304 quadratrac setup. It currently has manual breaks and steering and I want to convert over to power while I have everything torn down. By the way, my ring and pinion gears are trashed so I am open to replacing the entire front axle with one that already has front disc setup if that will swap into a quadratrac setup.

I found this link and others.. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/da...-help-1254054/

The quadratrac Dana 30 is no different than any other Dana 30 of those years (76-79) other than the fact that they have drive slugs instead of lockout hubs. This would have no bearing on a disc conversion.

Would you suggest finding a Dana 30 front end that is equipped with disc brakes and is working rather than rebuilding the trashed ring and pinion on my current front end and having to upgrade to discs in regards to money?

If you can find one with the same gear ratio, sure.
