D44 knuckles on D30

I have been told that the Dana 44 knuckles will bolt on to a 30.
Any one done it?

Well. I'm putting 30 knuckles on a 44 now to keep CJ steering, so yes they are interchangable.

Physically the bolt right up. The only differences you might have to consider are how your calipers will mount to the 44 knuckle and the length of the steering arm on the 44 knuckle.

Most 44's have a longer arm (distance from centerline of ball joints to tie rod hole) and this will slow down your turning ratio. You may lose some turning radius with it also.
