D300 or D20?

My CJ has an AMC 360 with the T-18 trans. I have a both the Dana 300 and the Dana 20 Transfer cases.

I am new to building CJs and would like some input on which transfer case to use. So if you have experience and knowledge with both, I am all ears!

I would use the Dana 300 (it has a lower low range ratio than the Dana 20) but it'll definately require an adapter to mate it with the T18. The T18 could be found in front of the Dana 20 so it might be possible to mate the two using factory pieces depending on what setup you have.

both are a nice setup

I have the dana 300 behind a t-176- similar to the T-18, just not as heavy duty as it... I have the spacer/adapter and the teralow 4:1 gear reduction... nice, very nice.... so- pick one, and I'm sure you'll like either...

I have a Cj-5 with the dana 20 and I agree that the low range just isnt slow enough. Other than that i dont mind it.. I works well.
