IIRC i read a post a few years ago where someone just ran a die (dont remember what size but would have to be in the #6 or #8 range) down the nipple and double nutted a lug connector on there. it wasn't the prettiest thing in the world but i think he was going through the same headache that you are.......FWIW

1982 CJ-7 2003 4.3 chevy vortec, 4L60E, Clocked Dana 300 35 x 12.5 x 15 KM2 on Cragar 399's. Vanco Brake Booster. Power steering conversion. Warn front and rear bumpers with swing away. Moser 1 piece rears. Rear OX.

Good to know. My connector keeps falling off. I think I'm gonna just superglue the thing on there and if that doesn't work I'll look at a new connector.
