D-300 Clocking Ring ?
I did a search and didn't really come up w/my answers.
1. When installing a clocking ring will the distance/thickness of the ring inhibit the shaft into the T-case, (i.e) making it to short and riding near the edge/end of the shaft into the case. 2. How much shaft is actually riding into the Tcase? If memory serves it's about 2" but that was on a yJ when we removed it. 2. Has anyone ever used the clocking ring that CJ-offroad sells? It's cheap & that to me is a concern. Thanks, Jim

I'm running a 3/8" thick clocking ring on my T176/D300 setup. I had to use a Speedi Sleeve to allow the TC input snout to engage the oil seal in the rear of the tranny. I think I still had more than 1.5" of spline engagement if I remember correctly... it wasn't short enough to concern me when I installed it.

They are supposedly carried by NAPA but I was not able to find it in NAPA online. |
