Custom Fuel Tank

Sorry, I think I miss titled my last thread. I have a custom fuel tank that is painted on the outside and bare steel on the inside. Do I need to coat the inside of the tank with anything prior to adding fuel, like this:

1981 Scrambler that is very under construction, but moving along.

Eastwood sells a gas tank sealer also, I don't know how well it holds up but sounds like a good idea to me.
