Coupler connecting steering gear to steering shaft is leaking?
For the longest time i've had a tiny power steering leak that looked like it was coming from the steering gear box, however after i get the gear box off i noticed that the coupler on the lower end of my steering shaft is supposed to have some rubber bushing and it's completely torn up. is there any possible way that the power steering fluid could be leaking from that coupler?

No. The leak is from the stub shaft of the steering gear, from one or more of three different seals that will settle within the coupler, be sure to p/u a new dust boot and the two plastic/type bushings w/clip along with your re manufactured steering gear.
