Cost of a Bench Tranny Rebuild?

I'm weighing the pros and cons of having my T18a rebuilt vs trying to do it myself. How much should I expect to pay in labor to have it done if I bring it to them out of the Jeep?

I would have it done. My T150 ran $150 plus the kit. I needed 1 gear replaced also so that was another $90.

I recently bought a T18A and got everything I needed for 600. After researching it a bit, I would rather sell this one and buy one from PartsMike which already has a Dana 300 set up for 1200. Time is money anyway we look at it.

5hr R+R. 4hr for rebuild=9hr total@current shop rate. These numbers are approximate but close. You can save some moola by doing the R+R yourself.
