Generally not very highly regarded, about on par with Dana 44's at their best parts. Poke around Fourwheeler.com's site...they have an axle guide that gives the good, bad, ugly, limits, etc on most axles.

Front axle uses the same outer stuff as a D44 not bad for a front application. I think Shannon Campbell used one on one of his first buggies. Rear 10 bolt uses a C-clip... 8.5" ring gear and I think 30 spline axles. Probably good up to about 35ish size tires and moderate wheeling.

I know I had one in my 76 Trans Am, which had a 400hp engine.

I drag raced the hell out of it using slicks. Never had a rear end problem.

Tore up plenty of other stuff, though.
