Comanche sending unit

I just recently bought a 1988 jeep comanche. Its great, but i have a list of repairs needed including a sending unit, due to the fact that fuel flows into the tank at fill up and flows back out right where the sending unit is located... i was going to have several local mechanics work on it, but they don't want to be responsible for it... does anybody know where i can find a replacement sending unit?

You are in the CJ forum, but meanwhile I got a new unit at the local auto parts store for my old 88 XJ. They are nice and plug into the front of the tank so you don't have to drop it.

Maybe you just need a new o-ring on the sender. You can hope because the fuel pump is also part of it I believe....
