cold air intake

I suppose most have found another way hanging cold air intake,or fre

sh air Please and share with me how you did this. I am comletely missing the tube to the carb cover, on a 1979 Jeep cj AND AN SUCKING ENGINE COMARTENT FUMES INO THE ENGINE

On some Jeeps, they put a fresh air or ram air scoop right beside the rad, just above the bumper. On the later ones they stopped doing this. Too many blown engines I would guess.

The problem with a ram air scoop is if you get a bow wave when crossing a puddle, the engine can gulp a mouthful of water which has a tendency to blow piston rods out the sides of blocks...

Thecarb adapter came from JAM engineering, everything else from AutoZone

I use a TJ air box, and it is grabbing cold air from the grille shell using the stock bellows tubing, see the lover left corner of this photo.
