Clutch Linkage

I've got an 85 CJ-7 with 31" tires and a 2 1/2" lift and I'm having
a clutch linkage problem. When I start to get some decent
articulation going, the clutch linkage pops out at one end of
the bell crank. Has anyone else ever had this problem or have
any ideas on how to fix this problem? Any thoughts or suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

I used to have that problem all the time on my 79 CJ. It was caused by bad motor mounts - I replaced mine with the M.O.R.E. Bombproofs and haven't had an issue in several years now.

Perhaps you shouldn't own a Jeep if you can't understand the association between manual clutch linkage and motor mounts that let an engine move around....

whats your problem? the motor mounts were bad so the clutch linkage was always coming off i fixed the mounts and that fixed the problem. what if i didnt "understand the association between motor mounts and the clutch" why would that mean i shouldnt own a jeep. i dont know alot about working on it but i learn as much as i can. and fix as much as i can. what was the point of making a comment like that. bc it sounded pretty neg. if it want meant to be that sorry for my rant.
