I feel like my home is the one where everyone is sick!!! When the kids get rid of one cold they bring home another. I have been sick more in the last three months than I have been in the last three years!!! I do think it is because I am burning the candle from both ends and not getting enough rest!!!

Rest up and take lots of vitamins!!!!

We are here in YH, having a ball in the snow! I'm using my BILs iPAD... ?? So far, so good! The drive up was horrible... Very scary. The van was wandering all over the road, although I just had the entire front end redone. Last trip north for the Astro! My BIL drives a Commander... Didn't know that! Fixin to open gifts now, so gotta go now. Hope your day is great! This iPAD is amazing! I could get used to this!

Scott. Good to hear you got there safe. Careful with the iPad. Wifey tried one in the store and the next thing I knew, she was in the check out line.

You do realize you'll be moving out of the hick classification if you get one of those, then I'll be left alone.

Hope the drive home is better. Glad to hear that you all are having a great time.

I got one this summer. I use it to surf when I'm at work... hehehehe We use it quite a bit for trips. The boys watch movies on it or one will play with it while the other plays with one of our iPhones... I prefer my laptop at home, though.

Me and a couple guys at work get made fun of. We go to coffee, pull out our iPads, and people will make comments about aren't you supposed to talk to one another when you go out for coffee, or are you e-mailing to each other?

The big problem is that it feeds my Jeep addiction!!! I can get Jeepforum just about anywhere, well except for where I need it most, my inlaws house

I can see one of my sons using one, but don't worry Jim... I'm a hick for life! But I have to tell you about this cool function!!! You can't turn it upside down! If you do, the screen automatically rights itself! I was more amazed at that than anything! You have to understand, I've been out of the Tech world for a long time.

We made it home at 4:30 this afternoon. I know we had protection the whole ride home! The van ran great... it's the 4.3 (which I love) with 190,000 miles. No problems with the drivetrain, but inside it rattles and frams around, banging and clanking, combined with 4 kids and a wife who's ready to BE OUT OF THE VAN, it gets tense!!!!!!!!!! My nerves are completely shot. So I unloaded everything, went out to the shop, and painted a fender! No pics because ya'll have seen a fender with primer a couple million times, but DANG it looks good. I think I got it this time. A little glaze. A little black primer, and we're ready for wet sand along with the hood.

Trip to Young Harris was good. Beautiful snow and scenery. Last night, we ate at Monte Alban, a Mex restaurant, which served great food and cold 32 oz Dos Equis! I ate a "special", the Burrito Albanero. I had no clue what it was, but I should have figured it out. It came with a little dish of some brownish liquid which I poured all over my burrito. SON!!!! I was ON FIRE! It was the hottest thing I can remember eating. Guzzled the 32 ouncer, my water, and my wife's tea! It made for a very interesting ride home today!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... yeah, my father in law is Mexican... they used to play a game with the gringo (me), what can we get him to eat this year? He also makes salsa that my wife loves, but her wimpy husband can't even smell!!!

Oh, and I can just see you saying, "I don't always drink beer, but when I do, it's Dos Equis."

I know the feeling of having to get in the garage and wipe my mind clean of everything!!! Can't wait to see how the fender turned out!!!

Glad you're home safe!!!

Working on the other fender today. I had to get a little Bondo out to touch up here and there. The boys are wanting to kick the soccer ball around and play volleyball... which I love, but I want the Jeep stuff finished. Mom says I am being too hard on everybody today. Bah humbug! Get to work you scurvy kids! 30 lashes with a cat-o-nine tails!

Clay got some gauges and lower door hinges from Memaw and Papa. I got a set of wiper arms and blades for my 7. The "Boyz" got a Wii... g-r-e-a-t! Just what we needed!! At least they gave me the Cabela's Dangerous Hunts game!

Do you have a thread for your 7???

The wife told me that she wants to do something as a family today... I'm like didn't we just do that? So after cleaning the Christmas decorations, I don't think I'll be getting Jeep stuff done... I am a bit grumpy today so maybe cleaning the garage is a good option... too bad my kids are too young to be helping me or I'd start cracking the wip!!!

Wii can be good family fun. I was never into games, but I had a buddy invite me over to play, and my wife even enjoys playing. Plus you can hook to Neflix, although I think we've already spoke about your internet connection...

Clay got his other fender primed this afternoon, albeit quite late! He also sprayed another coat on his dash. The fender revealed more imperfections even though we went over the whole thing with glazing compound. You are either going to love body work, or you're going to positively hate it with all your guts! Good thing I am enjoying it!! The dash is kicking our butts! We keep getting an area that blisters. It was an area that had rust, so I gave it a coat of Ospho. After 3 or 4 days I wiped it all down with LT and scuffed it with some 120 grit. Actually, I scuffed it first then wiped it down. But we still have blisters! How come?? Here are some action shots... the first one is Clay jumping off the roof, diving for the Frisbee! The next one Clay is trying to catch a bullet in his teeth!

Yeah, right!

Clay and his fender...

He's got Fender Zen going in this shot!

And the stupid dash! Maybe I'll just make one out of wood!

Going to the neighbor's for some jammin' tonight! Happy New Year to everybody, and please BE SAFE!

Hey I wanted to see that frisbie catch!!

From what I see the fender is looking great. Part of me says just to get it all primed and paint it but I know you want everything right.

Nice weather you're having there my friend. I have visions of sitting on that screened in porch drinking iced tea. Save me a spot.

Go ahead and put me down for "Hate it with all your guts!"

Have you tried high build and sanding yet? Something I experienced was I would see a small imperfection so I would use glaze, which would fix the one spot and then I'd have a bad spot somewhere else. The high build filled in some of the smaller imperfections, that I thought were big. Anyway, just a thought.
