Thanks Jeepwhore, Professor, and Ken!
I love it when a plan comes together!

Should the A21, 12GA Dark Blue wire from the Fuel Pump Relay be attached to the other start/run 14B wire?
And yes, those two should be connected.

Dude! You gave me the bulkhead pinout for the CJ. It is a KEY part of this swap.

Thought so. All this time I was trying to use the fuel pump relay to make it start! What a moron!! I was thinking it was the starter relay. But I'm straight now!

So I have two wires connected at the BH... starter relay and fuel pump relay. What else gets connected to the BH? Which wire runs from the PDC to the fuel pump? I bet I'll have to splice it back on!

Thanks, Guys.

You may be all set on bulkhead wiring... the blue wire that goes to the fuel pump relay also splices into the ignition coil and all the other accessories that need 12V during start and run.

The wire coming from the PDC to the fuel pump should be 14ga grn/wht (cavity D8 on the PDC)

Cool. That clears up a lot. I will definitely be splicing the blue wire as I chopped everything off of it! I just naturally thought that once you powered the PDC everything was magically energized.

sweet! I feel like I should know at least something having owned an XJ for 3 years in the past, but I didn't ever touch the wires

Good thing you got all these smart buds to help, not that you wouldn't have got it anyway. You have great tenacity!

How does the blue wire splice into the coil? Installed plugs and wires and cranked it to check spark. I have no spark at the coil. Everything appears to be intact. Coil plug feeds from the same bundle as the alternator. I want to say the coil plug has 11V and 7V at the female terminals (IIRC), so it seems power is going into the coil but not coming out. There is a blue wire with a plastic connector coming from the alternator, and it is not connected. Don't know where it goes! I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm tired and in for the night.

It's actually an indirect connection. The blu/wht wire that goes to the fuel pump relay also goes to the ASD relay. The output from the ASD goes through fuse 21 and on to the ignition coil, ECM, and the fuel injectors. It's a grn/orn wire.

The blue wire may be the AC clutch wire.

Finally some pics for your viewing pleasure! I took some pics this morning of where I am at. I'm trying to identify the wire that goes to the fuel pump and also to figure out why I have no spark. Maybe you guys can see something...

This picture shows the big plug that handles the Alternator and Coil. Seems kind of hard to mess up! I have placed specific labels for help/clarification. For instance, the heavy brown wire goes to the starter. I placed it there because it is a long wire, it reaches the starter, and the ring terminal is the correct size for the post, but I don't really know if that is correct. I didn't remove the harness from the donor. The Blue wire with the black plug does not seem to have a place to plug in. Where does it go?

This is where the heavy brown wire is terminated. The starter cranks with the key as it should.

These are the Blue wires tying several relays together in the PDC.

The Fuel Pump Relay in the PDC has two Green wires with Black tracers. These appear to be Output wires. It was mentioned earlier to look for Green/White wires... apparently the wiring colors have changed! I do not have power in either of these wires with the key on or in crank.

I had originally labeled this as Ballast Resistor. Obviously it is a relay as you guys said. It is corroded. One of the Green/Black Fuel Pump Relay Output wires goes to it.

The new plug wires are too long!

Here is the CJ bulkhead connector. I am showing the wires that I connected to get power to the crank/run circuit. I don't know what to do with 13B. Jeepwhore mentioned it is a "crank" wire, but that doesn't make sense to me, as 14B is "crank/run". Where does 13B go?

13B went into the old CJ harness and was part of the ignition system. It ends at a ring terminal, but I don't remember where it attached. Was this a solenoid wire? Where does it go in the XJ harness?

Thanks, Guys. It is going to rain all day here... tomorrow too! I'll be in the shop. Don't know if I will have internet today.

I ned moor ejukashun, Ken! Cavity 8 appears on the fuel pump relay in the PDC (per FSM), but that relay is labeled "B", not "D". Also, there is no Green/White wire coming from this relay. I have Green/Black, but they are not hot. I swapped another solenoid in to make sure I had a good one... no difference. I don't see a D8. What am I missing?

Cavity 8 is not included in the FSM diagram. It appears this cavity is not used in the fuel pump circuit?? 6,7,9,and 10 are used, with 9 being fuel pump relay output, which are both DG/BK. Should these wires be hot, and should one of them go to the fuel pump? I gets no powah!

Starting to rain... Got the grass mowed then went out and stared at the Jeep.

Your alt/coil wiring looks right to me. I'm 99% confident that the blue wire is for the AC clutch, which would have been mounted directly above the alternator.

What is your PDC out of? Can you post up a jpeg or pdf of the PDC diagram you are using? Here's mine...

Yes, the grn/bk should be hot in start/run. I'm actually running into the same issue... the starter works, but I'm not getting power to the fuel pump..
I'm wondering if this isn't an anti-theft issue.

I'm heading out of town for the weekend, so I may not be of much assistance for the next few days...

Na, na, na, na, na.... you need to stick around. Weekends in the country with the one you love are seriously over-rated!

The .pdf I'm using will not let me copy. It is the 95XJ_8WR Wiring Diagrams section of the '95 XJ FSM, downloaded from Aussieoffroad.com. Page 8W-11-2. My Haynes does not have a picture to scan, and your diagram is completely different from what I am using. Freaky!!

I'm wondering if the fuel pump should go to 14B at the BH connector and not the PDC? I know I can power it that way.

How can you test a coil to be sure it is good, besides touching it to your tongue? I think my coil is bad, but I don't want to spend $37 to find out.

Forgot... I am using the complete engine harness, including PDC, from a '92 4.0 XJ.

Awright, Guys... This works best when ya'll are getting on here, saying things like... unh-huh... yep.... put that there.... put this thang here... move dat, move dis... screw dat down... buy that new... aks dat dude ober dere... but what do I get?? Silence. Virtual silence. I lay in bed at night, completely robbed of sleep, eager with the sheer anticipation of what ya'll are gonna say, I bypass kissing my wife "Good Morning" just to see what is written, knowing today will be the day, and... and... nothin. I don't want to seem like I'm whining or anything, but Guuuuuuuuuuuyyysssss! Clay needs this Jeep for school, which starts back up soon. He is driving the van in the meantime. I need tires on my 7. I will use the money from the sale of the van to buy tires, only I can't sell the van, because Clay is driving it You know... the circle of life kind of thing!

Okay? Okay...
