Okay Hoover... or should I call you Eureka!? As in "I FOUND IT!" Do I have to put the little fistlaugh thingy up there again?

Mixed up 8 ounces of tan and painted my windshield frame. Whatever good luck I had on the tub did not transfer to the WS. I used 5 ounces and it is one big run!

Whole attitude stinks today. I hope it gets better.

Pulled out the grill to get it ready for paint. If you remember, I primed it months ago, and it has been sitting. I had sandblasted it to clean it up. Looking at the flaking primer this morning I am sure I didn't prep the metal adequately when I primed it. Between the flaking primer and billions of dead spiders from the mud-dobbers nests, I may have to start over on the grill.

Wifey says vacuum just died.

Well that sucks, or it doesn't I guess. Haul the shop- vac into the house.
Your putting to heavy of a coat on, at one time. Slow down a little. Multiple thin coats. The first coat should Barely be seen .

Bill

New counter top wont be here till the afternoon .

Skipper there are days better spent fishing than banging your head against a wall.

Today sounds like a fishing day.

sorry to hear of your bad luck so far today, if it makes you feel any better I had to make a rescue last night for one of my dogs. She fell in the canal and couldn't get out, I was trying to help her out when I fell in as well. Lost my phone, sunglasses, and gps watch. At least I saved my dog though, hope your day gets better from here on out!

I'm too impatient when I am in a work mode. Shoulda waited on spraying it. I hung it up under the shop porch and hit it. It was too high for good application. I thought I had the paint fairy on my side?

Wife has another vacuum, but she doesn't like it. Now I've discovered a roof leak in the bedroom, small one, but still a leak. When it rains, it pours!

Any day is a good day to fish... except this one! Raining to beat the band. Power has been going out periodically. Probably will again while I am on the puter! But I take your drift.

Glad you got your dog out okay. Bummer about the other stuff.

So... What? Is nobody else awake today?

I mean, I know Scott is busy spraying (and sanding.... ) away at that paint right about now, but where's everybody else?

Scott is working till 7, I don't know about everyone else. I was trying to think of a nice way to say, SLOW DOWN! You have the patience to sit , when hunting and fishing, and swap gears in a axle. Excerise this same thing with the paint.

Thanks Scout, you gave me what I needed.

I was planning to sand and paint the frame this evening when I got home, but Beth was waiting for me at the gate when I got off tonight!! Sure was nice to have a pretty woman waiting for me to get off work! She said jake's truck was broke down at the college, and she had hauled me a bunch of tools. So I changed my shirt, loaded up the tools she brought, and headed off to school! Ended up whacking the starter and it fired up! Just got home, so no painty tonight! Maybe tomorrow because Friday we are leaving to go camping for the weekend.

Have a good camp trip,

Bill
On edit, so it wasn't a electrical problem. And it's nice she came to your work, the only thing that would have made it better is if she would have been driving a CJ! ( remember JF thou not always tech, is still family friendly)

Beth is definitely game, and she would have driven one if I had one ready! She asked me tonight for a parts list for Father's Day. She said for MY Jeep, NOT Clay's!! Gotta think of a few things. I know I need a cowl seal and a heater knob.

What is my repaint window for my windshield frame? I painted it Tuesday morning. I need to sand down the runs and reshoot. Can I do it tomorrow evening (Thursday) if it is not raining? Later? Single stage, acrylic enamel.

Bill, we still on for a clutch? No rush, just want to confirm.
