I'll tell her. Thanks, Dave. Since I regard you as a "Pepper Afficionado" that is high praise!

I have been so tired that I skipped JF yesterday. I planned to skip it today too, but, alas, I am still awake! So, without further ado....

Clay mounted up the seats yesterday. None of the bolt holes lined up! I guess when we torqued down the rollcage it changed the dynamics enough that the holes are no longer
in their original position. I think it's funny how things continue to change, every day, when you least expect it. So he drilled them out, oversized, to get the 3/8s bolts to fit.

I buttoned up the fuel system, and she has fuel in her tank for the first time. Everything good so far.

Hood is on, and it was an absolute PITA! Final fit-up is complete. Fenders lined up, hood lined up, paint has already come off where the hood touches the sides of the grill from
opening and closing.

The paint doesn't seem to be sticking well. You can still mar it, scratch it with your thumbnail, especially the dash and WS frame. It has been a couple months since painting,
and most of it cured in the house. There are scratches galore on the tub, dash, WS frame, and one big one where somebody walked too close to the side. I followed the
instructions explicitly from the dealer who sold me the paint. Maybe it's just the humidity? When the paint is done blowing off we will rattle-can it camo!

Clay is building his tire carrier. It is fixed, it is his plan, and it looks good. I have to admit I was skeptical, but... DANG... I am proud of him! Wait until you see it!

Hoping to have it at the aignment shop by Tuesday. I can't wait to drive it to work.

I cleaned out the Jeep and washed it this morning. If I had a vehicle today I would borrow a trailer and get it into the alignment shop. But I am home alone, with my two littlest.
All they want to do is wrassle (that's wrestle for you educated people)!

I started 4 different things already, all Jeep related, and fizzled out before I got going. I have a serious case of the black azz today!

I DID learn something *NEW* however. Most NEW things should be GOOD things, but not so in this case. After painting the Jeep it has sat in the
shop for these months while we continued to work on it. Dust accumulated all over it. I didn't care. I thought the dust would actually serve as a
protective coating for the paint, by some small measure. While washing the Jeep I discovered the dust had impregnated itself intp the paint!
Especially on the cowl. I can clean it up with some 1000 wet paper, which I guess I'll do, but it was a bit frustrating. the Jeep keeps teaching me things.

Here's where we are so far.
Here's a pic of Clay's tire carrier. He took the pics as he was building. I don't have any better pics as he took it to school with him this morning.
And a pic of my messy shop. Can't wait to clean it up. I have so many, many tools out!

Thank, Jim/Daniel! The tire carrier is impressive. He has done excellent work on it. He told Mom he would finish it this evening. Let's wait and see. He needed to pick up a short piece of 1 3/4" tubing to slide over the 1 1/2" piece... don't know it he was able to get it.

Dave- He doesn't want to put them on yet!! He has one out at the shop for reference, but the others... well, here's a pic! I almost put them on today just because! I want to get them and Bill's flares mounted.

And, No... I didn't buy a pole saw. The cardboard is for an Airsoft battle we're hosting this w/e.
