1980 CJ-7

Original 258 (still strong!) w/ MC 2150 and "Team Rush"

T176

Dana 300

AMC 20 NT w/ Lockrite Locker

Dana 30 NT

Pair of Tatton Driveshafts (DC Rear)

Rustys 4" lift

The short story:

Acquired this CJ a little over a year ago after searching for a while for a Jeep with a solid frame and repairable original body. Ran it during the summer and into late fall, when I blew the clutch off-road (my avatar is the pic from when I blew the clutch). Decided to start the rebuild process then. My intent was to pull it down to a rolling chassis, wire brush and coat the frame (frame is rock solid and I want to keep it that way), upgrade transmission while I had it out(was a T5 when I got it), take care of the few spots in the body that needed attention, and get a new coat of paint. The front of the fenders were a bit banged up, so since I was looking to replace them anyway, I decided to play with the cut-off wheel, and liked the result. Since the pic was taken, I added some black molding to the edge to clean up the look.

Future plans include Waggy/Scout Dana 44's, 4:1 TC upgrade, V8 power, s well as other small upgrades.

Thanks! :2thumbsup:
