CJ7 stock height...

Can anyone tell me how high the frame is from the ground on a stock cj7?

Installed a 2.5" lift-kit... the shocks that came with the kit appear to be too short... now I'm not sure if I just got the wrong shocks or the wrong springs(that is 4" lift-kit)...

I can't tell you what the stock length shock is, but the frame to ground measurement can vary by age/use/tire size. Any of the shock manufacturers can tell you the factory length (fully extended and compressed), so can most lift manufacturers. I'd check with their tech support first and see what they say.

Thought I would bring this one back up to see if anyone has, or could get a close measurement from frame rail to ground of a stock, or very near stock CJ7?
Thanks,
Steve

my 83 CJ7 measures 14 3/4 at the front of the T case skid plate. The only non stock suspension is the tires--slightly taller than stock....although the leaf springs are pretty much flat now.....so i'm pretty sure its damn close
