Ah the good old style.
I remember when column mounted first high beams came out and I kept getting my foot stuck in the steering wheel trying to turn on the brights.
I'm better now.

I didn't know you were blonde, John!

True story: the PO of my jeep had no idea it even had high beams. It was by accident that I even found them.

Pictured below are the mats I have and I think these are the ones you are referring too.

It's a little hard to see the switch poking out of the mat in the second picture.
Hey my friend, where did you purchase those floor mats. I love the jeep logo instead of the rugged ridge ones.

I think I got them from Morris 4x4 on sale but they are more expensive now because of the "Jeep" name. Royalties must be paid to Chrysler.

Try googling the part number for them, #DMC-12920.22 and see what comes up.

Example from Amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Rugged-Ridge-D.../dp/B00308NW18

$62.50 is cheap for them with the Jeep logo.

There's even one for the rear floor around the roll bar that was not available before this year. Just happened to see it today and it is also available with the Jeep logo as well. Part #DMC-12950.22

That's classic. Surprising that auto makers haven't returned to the floor-mounted switches as a means to keep drivers' eyes on the road.

I know just what you mean.

A typical Northeast CJ floor exposed to the driving elements.

Waiting breathlessly to see how the OP's hole turned out....

Sorry, it's probably the cocktails making me be a d-bag.

OK, as promised, measurements for the hole in the floor mat for the high/low beam switch.

You are the man, Keith. Only on the CJ forum....

OP, I hope we didn't run you off. If we're not teasing you, we don't care for you.

Keith, I like those mats. Do you envision any clearance issues with the back of the throttle pedal using these mats with carpet?

Thanks,

Matt

No, I don't see any problem with them when carpet is underneath. I have a thin piece a absorbent padding under mine so it won't scuff the paint. I know, what the hay, it's a Jeep for Gods sake but I just can't help myself!

It came with my Jeep when I bought it in 84.

I see them on eBay all the time for sale. You have to seek them out, they won't come to you.

There's 3-4 of them on Ebay for sale as of today.
