CJ7 half door fitment

I can't find information on which half doors will fit on a 1984 CJ7. I've read that there are some years of YJ half doors that fit CJs, but sometimes there is a catch that needs to be added. I was wondering if anyone had any info / a chart on what fits where. I was confused by what i found on google.

I'm looking for steel half doors hopefully cheaper on craigslist than most i've found on ebay

Don't discount flea markets and swap meets for steel half doors.
I got my pair in a flea market buried under some household junk. The right door was perfect the left door had a few dents and the trim panels were junk but i got them for $35.00 with mirrors which i resold the mirrors for $10.00. The Vin tag on the doors said they were 94 YJ. I have an 81 CJ they fit perfectly i did not even have to adjust the hinges for them. I believe you have the correct strikers already on yours. They should look like standard American car striker bolts

84 should have the stud for a lock as far as I know the doors didn't change until the TJ, which uses kind of a loop, the 1/2 doors all have the paddle latch and were available in 87, 87 took a different upper and didn't have a lock. but other wise are the same. I have a couple of sets of each and and have just added the strip if I didn't have a set of the early uppers

My fleet:

86 CJ7 bone stock, w/factory 44 never seen the dirt soon to be for sale

Not necessarily. A jeep only came with the latch post if it was ordered with doors. My '84 didn't have them.

Thanks guys! Sorry for the long time between responses, I was dealing with buying the jeep before I started looking for parts. I got it yesterday. Thanks for the ideas on places to look.
