CJ7 Door handles

Quadratrac in their wisdom has decided that the door handles they sell for a CJ7 can defy physic's.

Ive bought a SET of handles (the square inset ones) and have found they are both the same item. When fitted one door works as its designed to, the other doesnt work at all. The handles are designed to push the catch inside the door down but with the same handle on both doors one lifts, the other pushes down.

Anyone found the same issue? Quadratrac so far refuse to understand they cannot possibly work (or they REALLY dont want to ship a replacement to AU)

The factory handles are quite clearly a different part with both catchs internally pushing down on the latch

I pretty sure there is a passenger and drivers side handles. Otherwise one side will be upside down, as you've figured out.

If you haven't found it already, this is probably the best write-up on restoring CJ hard doors.

with the supplied parts, the part with the arrow can move in 1 direction only. So one door works, the other doesnt BUT quadratrac are 100% sure they are universal and work

they cant, its clearly impossible.
