Are you suggesting "thread cutting screws" as replacement hinge bolts?

================================================== =======

Giles,

I do not recall anyone finding torx head cap screws but Fastenal has a good selection of allen stainless button head cap screws. They are offered in a black oxide finish if you plan to paint them. Somewhere buried in my build thread, I posted results of torque tests I did on the allen heads along with pictures.

This link takes you directly to a cap screw close to what you need, it may be too long for your needs.

You can start here and select the parameters of the screws you want,

No, I was suggesting looking at McCasters, since they carry many hard-to-find fasteners.

They have button-head torx bolts.

Sorry I didn't supply the exact link.

I thought that the Hood hinge bolts on a CJ were hex head with the washer?
