cj7 5 inch suspension and springover on 36's idea
i have a 86 cj7, built 4.2, dana 44 in rear and dana 30 in the front, with a 4 inch leaf, and 1 inch shackles. i want to keep the current setup but do a spring over on it on some 36x14.5's. do you think it would look goofy or how do you think it would do on the rocks and trails.
86 cj7 4.2 dana 300 d44's restoration
90 yj trail rig on 36's
it will be way too tall and dangerous, a spring over on stock springs is enough to clear 35s....
85 CJ7 Build in progress, 258 with T-5 and dana 300.
Fiberglass tub Raptor lined interior, rustoleum lined the underside. Modified family roll bar from fender mounted rollbar. Full tie ins to the frame soon to come.
If it was me I would sell your current lift kit, you'll offset the cost that way, then do a fully custom Spring over.

spring over, yjs, and 35s would do great. my buddys got a sammi and its short on power but 4 low the thing flat works. in fact im building my jeep from his platform it works so well. he is on 33 12.50 boggers. jeep people talk all the **** about sammis and vice versa but they are basic bare bones mud trucks and not that different i have a 79 jeep and am building a 88 sammi for my girlfriend.
